Release Notes: Introducing the Transactpay Dashboard (Version 2.0)

We have redesigned our dashboard! This major update focuses on improving your workflow efficiency, enhancing security, and simplifying navigation. We have listened to your feedback and consolidated modules, upgraded transaction management, and introduced powerful new features like bulk reporting and customisable payment links.

Below is a detailed breakdown of all the key improvements you can expect.

🧭 I. User Experience & Navigation Overhaul

We have streamlined the entire dashboard experience, making it easier and faster to find the tools you need.

1. New Look and Feel

  • UI Overhaul: A modern, user-friendly interface (UI) for the entire dashboard, designed for clarity and ease of use.

  • Better Navigation: Improved flow across all modules and sub-modules for a smoother experience.

  • Support Access: Dedicated "Talk to Support" entry points placed conveniently across various navigation parts.

2. Streamlined Module Structure

We have re-categorised our structure to align better with how you manage your payments.

  • Reduced Complexity: The number of main Modules has been reduced from 10 to 7.

  • Simplified Sub-modules: The total count of Sub-modules has been streamlined from 33 to 22.

💸 II. Transactions & Collections Management

The "TRANSACTIONS" module is now the unified hub for all your financial activities, offering enhanced auditing and tracking capabilities.

1. Unified Financial Grouping

  • Centralised Module: All financial sub-modules (including Payouts, Settlements, etc.) are now logically grouped under the main "TRANSACTIONS" module, making related functions easier to access.

2. Consolidated Collections

  • New "COLLECTIONS" Sub-module: Access all your incoming revenue streams—including Payment Links, Static Account Funding, and other collection methods—in this single, unified sub-module.

3. Payout Management Improvements

  • Clear Differentiation: The Payout module now clearly separates:

    • Daily Settlements: Automated payouts to your bank account.

    • Initiated Payouts: Manual or initiated transfers you execute.

  • Enhanced Audit: This separation provides better control and auditing of all financial outflows on each account.

The Payment Link tool is now more flexible and powerful, giving you greater control over your collections.

  • Edit Links After Creation: You can now edit existing payment links after they have been created, eliminating the need to create a new link for minor adjustments.

  • Transaction Tracking: Easily track and view all transactions tied to a specific payment link, providing better insights into performance across different campaigns.

  • Custom Fields: Add custom entry fields to your payment links to collect specific data (e.g., Order ID, Customer Reference) from merchants and their paying customers.

  • Subscription Control: Merchants can now control how their paying customers complete subscription payments via the payment links, offering greater flexibility in recurring billing models.

🔒 IV. Security and Auditing Enhancements

We have added critical features to protect your account and provide complete visibility into all dashboard activities.

1. Enhanced Security

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): We have implemented mandatory 2FA for necessary settlement settings, giving you extra protection from data loss, leaks, and unauthorised account compromise.

2. Comprehensive Audit Trails

  • Activity Logging: A new AUDIT TRAILS module tracks and logs every activity carried out on the dashboard by both the primary merchant and all team members.

📊 V. Reporting and Developer Resources

1. New Resource Centre

  • Bulk Reports: The new RESOURCE CENTRE allows you to request large-scale reports (e.g., transactions, settlements, etc.) directly on the dashboard.

  • Download Centre: Once generated, these bulk reports can be securely downloaded from the dedicated Report Centre sub-module.

2. Developer Checkout Experience

  • Simplified Documentation Access: We've created a simpler, dedicated entry point on the dashboard to access the Transactpay documentation link for developers, streamlining the integration process.

✅ VI. General Improvements

  • Diverse Filtering: Robust and diverse filtering functionalities have been added across all modules and their individual data tables.

  • Advanced Search: Enhanced search capabilities help you quickly locate transactions, customers, and data points.

We encourage you to explore the new dashboard today! Should you have any questions, please use the new "Talk to Support" feature.

❓ VII. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Migration and Data Integrity

Question
Answer
Is all my historical data safe in the new dashboard?
Yes, absolutely. All your historical transactions, settlements, customer data, and account settings have been securely migrated and will be available in the new dashboard structure.
Do I need to take any action to migrate?
No. Once you log in, you will be directed to the new interface. You may need to familiarise yourself with the new 7-module structure, but all functionalities are ready for immediate use.
Can I still access the old dashboard?
To ensure all users benefit from the new security and efficiency features, the previous dashboard version will be fully retired soon. We encourage you to transition to the new platform immediately.

New Features

Question
Answer
Where can I find my various payment channels (e.g., payment links, static accounts)?
They are now all consolidated under the new "COLLECTIONS" sub-module within the main "TRANSACTIONS" module.
How does the new Payout module help with auditing?
We now clearly separate Daily Settlements (automatic) from Initiated Payouts (manual transfers). This clear division makes it much easier to audit your automated inflows versus your team's executed outflows.
What kind of data can I collect with the new Payment Link custom fields?
You can add any required text-entry field to your payment links, such as "Customer Reference Number," "Delivery Address (line 2)," or "Campaign Source," to collect data critical to your specific business needs.
How do I activate the 2FA for settlement settings?
You will be prompted to set up 2FA the first time you attempt to change or modify any critical settlement configuration settings.

Support and Documentation

Question
Answer
I can't find a specific feature. Where should I look?
Please take a look at the updated module structure in the release notes above. If you are still having trouble, use the new "Talk to Support" entry points located across the navigation.
Where can developers find the Transactpay documentation?
We have added a simplified entry point on the main dashboard for quick access to the latest developer documentation link.
